Did you know that not everyone around the world has the same seasons? Depending on where you live, you might experience four seasons or just two. Let’s explore what makes each type of season special.

The Four Seasons:
In many parts of the world, the year is split into four seasons:

  • 🌼Spring:
In spring, the world wakes up, flowers bloom, baby animals are born, and everything turns green. It is a great time to plant seeds and watch them grow.
  • Summer:
Summer is warm and full of sunshine. It is perfect for playing outside, going to the beach, and learning about the ocean and bugs. The days are long, so there is lots of time for fun.
  • 🍂Fall:
Fall or autumn is all about change. Fall is when the leaves change colour and fall to the ground. The air gets cooler, and animals start gathering food for winter. It is the best season for jumping in leaf piles and picking pumpkins.
  • Winter:
Winter brings cold, snow, and a quieter world. Some animals sleep all winter, while others stay active. It is a cozy time for hot cocoa and learning about how animals stay warm.

The Two Seasons:
In tropical areas, like parts of Africa, Asia, Central and South America, and some Pacific islands, the year is divided into two main seasons:

  • Wet Season:This is when it rains a lot, and everything turns green, rivers fill up, and plants grow quickly, much like spring and summer combined.
  • Dry Season: During the dry season, it rains very little, and the land becomes dusty. It is a bit like winter, but instead of snow, it’s dry and sometimes very hot.

Whether you have four seasons or two, there is always something new happening in nature. Each season brings its own changes, giving kids and families a lot to discover and enjoy.
